The Division of Student Affairs consists of fourteen functional departments, each of which is responsible for providing a variety of student support, service, and educational programs which are accessible to all members of the university community. Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The Office Administrator provides administrative support for the Director and
Coordinators of the University Learning Center ( ULC ). Duties include:
  • Manages all department travel
  • Produces ULC data reports, as well as other reports as needed
  • Assists Office Manager with work orders and purchasing (supplies, technology, etc.) for department, as well as surplus
  • Work coordination (especially with fellow ULC admins as well as students).
  • Data entry (e.g. Supplemental Instruction and study session usage, daily data corrections, student appointment data, etc.)
  • Service marketing (e.g. direct contact with departments, creating and distributing flyers, staff events etc.)
  • Social Media manager (develops and implements social media campaigns for the ULC under direction of professional staff)
  • With Office Manager, hires and trains student receptionists, provides daily supervision of student reception staff
  • Primary reception back-up – covers reception as needed
  • Event coordination (e.g. room reservations, food orders, event planning, etc.)


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency, or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work

Preferred education, professional skills and experience

College degree preferred
Excellent communication skill (oral and particularly written)
Strong interpersonal skills
Organizational skills
