The Sport Management Program in the HCBPS School of Business Administration, Division of Business Strategy, is accepting applications from qualified individuals to teach sport management courses in the following areas:

Recreational Sport Management, Leisure and Sport, and Sport Facility Management

The position will start Fall Semester, August 2020. Teaching loads may vary from three to nine credit hours. Teaching will be face-to-face (Warrensburg, MO – main campus), hybrid, and online this Fall, but UCM reserves the right to change the delivery method at any time during the academic year.

Position duties include:
• Develop course contents (e.g., lectures, readings, assignments, exams, projects, etc.) that will achieve the learning outcomes stated in the course syllabus.
• Teach the assigned courses throughout the semester.
• Be available to communicate with students by email, phone, web conferencing, or face-to-face meetings.
• Provide periodic and constructive feedback to students in a reasonable amount of time.

The candidate should have at least a Master’s Degree in sport management, park and recreation, or a related field.

Computer Skills Experience

Ideal candidates will have college teaching experience with relevant work experience related to the course topic. Proficiency in learning management systems (i.e., Blackboard) is preferred but not required. Online teaching experience is preferred. The candidate should be a team player and collaborator. Commitment to teaching excellence is required.
