Faculty Position in Nursing:

The School of Nursing at the University of Central Missouri invites applications for Clinical Adjunct Faculty positions. The appointment will begin for various semesters based upon need. We are looking for faculty who are committed to provide quality in nursing education.

The Position:
Clinical Adjunct Faculty (undergraduate program): Responsibilities include providing clinical instruction to an assigned group of students in one of the following areas: med/surg, women’s health, pediatrics, and mental health. Grading of assignments and participation in lab and simulation activities are an essential function of the job.

Clinical Adjunct Faculty (graduate program): Responsibilities include teaching graduate level nursing courses and/or providing indirect clinical oversight for Family Nurse Practitioner ( FNP ) students. Graduate didactic courses include core MSN courses that are shared between the two graduate tracks of FNP and Nurse Educator (NE).

Earned Master of Science ( MSN ) in Nursing required for both positions.

For Undergraduate Positions:
- Unencumbered, current, active registered nursing licensure in Missouri, or compact license.

For Graduate Positions:
- Unencumbered, current, active registered nursing licensure in Missouri, or compact license.
- Family Nurse Practitioner ( FNP ) national certification from AANP or ANCC .

Computer Skills Experience

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate Positions:
• Two (2) years nursing experience within the last five (5) years.
• Unencumbered, current, active registered nursing licensure in Missouri, or compact license.

Graduate Positions:
• Two (2) years nursing experience within the last 5 years.
• Unencumbered, current, active registered nursing licensure in Missouri, or compact license.
• Unencumbered, current, active nurse practitioner licensure in Missouri and Kansas
• Family Nurse Practitioner ( FNP ) national certification from AANP or ANCC .

Preferred Qualifications:
• Earned doctorate in Nursing or in progress.
