1. Diagnose, service, repair and maintain trucks, busses, diesel engines, and equipment.
2. Perform body and fender work on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
3. Modify and/or manufacture obsolete parts.

Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent, Formal training (specify) Other Education & Formal Training

Successful completion of Vocational Training in diesel engine repair, automotive repair, auto body repair, or a related field may be substituted for the required experience at a rate of 1 year training = 1 year experience.

Computer Skills Other - Diagnostic Computer Software Experience

1. Four (4) years experience as an auto mechanic in an industrial or commercial setting as a seasoned trades person (considered a master level craftsperson).
2. One (1) year experience in auto body repair.

-Ability to read and comprehend manuals of the trade.
-Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of vehicles and equipment.
-Ability to mix/match paint colors and apply according to applicable operation instructions.

-Incumbent is expected to wear safety equipment.

-Incumbent is responsible for supplying personal hand tools and tool box, as needed to perform duties.
