Working hours:

Monday-Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm during the fall and spring semesters.
Monday-Thursday 7:30 am-4:30 pm during the summer.
Occasional nights and weekends.

Working both independently and collaboratively with other Campus Community Health staff, the RN/Public Health Nurse performs professional nursing work in an outpatient setting, provides education nursing services, and coordinate immunization and outreach programs for UCM students. Nursing actions are directed toward the goals of prevention, assessment, risk reduction, and improving the health status and academic success of students.

Associate’s degree in Nursing required.

Bachelor’s degree in the following field(s) of study: Nursing or any other health field preferred.

Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Other - Electronic Health Records Experience

Two (2) years professional nursing experience as an RN required.

Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements

-Active Missouri RN license or eligible for license within 30 days of employment.

-Certification in CPR / BLS required

Ability to deal effectively with the student body, health care providers, community agencies, and individuals representing a broad socioeconomic, cultural, and linguistic spectrum.

Willingness to engage in continuous and ongoing training.

Advanced knowledge of concepts of wellness and health promotion in an outpatient setting.

Technical proficiency with nursing skills.

Ability to use electronic applications appropriate to nursing duties (ie electronic medical record).
