Purpose:

Responsible for aiding in the recruitment, retention, and development of all the members of the Football Program.

Duties:

Football

  • Assist the Head Coach in the recruitment of student-athletes, aiding heavily in daily recruiting operations
  • Facilitate recruiting initiatives and tracking of prospective student athletes
  • Support the Head Coach in daily operations
  • Aid in Fundraising and Alumni/Public engagement efforts
  • Collaborate with the coaching staff in determining fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques that will be taught to the student athletes
  • Provide instruction related to physical health, team concepts, and safety
  • Assist in communications with Campus Facilities and other protocols for day and overnight prospects
  • Assist the head coach with inventory and issuing of equipment
  • Supervise student workers
  • Oversee HUDL uploads and exchanges
  • Monitor students for academic retention and assist in the advising of students on their academic progress
  • Maintain current knowledge and abides by NCAA/HCAC rules, policies, procedures
  • Assists in weight room supervision per NCAA Rules
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors Degree preferred

Experience:

  • College or High School Football coaching
  • A demonstrated ability and commitment towards diversity, equity, and inclusion


Specialized Training:

HUDL, FrontRush, Google Docs, Microsoft Office, First Aid, and CPR.

-Communicate information clearly and concisely and listen well to others

-Must possess strong communication skills and strengths in public speaking

Accuracy:

-Maintain a high level of accuracy, consistently reviewing work to detect errors, oversights, or omissions

Initiative:

-Take immediate and independent action when necessary assuming initiative for creative problem solving

-Accomplish tasks with follow through to completion

Technical:

-Must possess an aptitude for technological development and its implications for appropriate automation of office

Work Environment, Physical Demands:

Standing or sitting in one position for long periods; computer data input; multiple concurrent tasks with constant service interruptions; high-level customer contact; strict confidentiality; detailed work; operating hudl, camcorder, copier, fax, College vans for the team, and other transportation.
