About the Opportunity:
The Bouve College of Health Sciences seeks a Research Technician to join the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Research Technician will assist in laboratory research related to the pharmacology and pathophysiology of membrane proteins and associated drugs and endogenous regulators.

Bouve College of Health Sciences is comprised of three preeminent schools of study encompassing approximately 1,000 faculty and staff, 5,000 students, and 40,000 alumni.

Please note: The primary work location for this position is the Boston MA Northeastern University Campus Location. Until our full return to campus, which is still to-be-determined, this interview process will be conducted remotely- including virtual interviews, remote onboarding and remote work. The remote nature of this position is subject to change in the future and is only temporary. Local, on-campus work will be required once the College and this role return to an operational status that supports it.

Responsibilities:
The Research Technician will manage daily operations of the laboratory related to molecular biology and sample preparation. The Research Technician will perform electrophysiology laboratory assays, conduct data collection, data analysis and maintaining laboratory records.

Qualifications:
This position requires a B.S. degree in biology, physiology, pharmacology, neuroscience or a related discipline. Candidates should have experience at least one-years' worth of experience with molecular biology, in vitro transcription of RNA, tissue culture and electrophysiology. The candidate must be able to carefully organize and analyze the data generated from experiments, have appropriate communication skills and the ability to carefully follow instructions are necessary. The candidate should be enthusiastic about research and have a passion for learning laboratory methods as well as working cooperatively with others as part of a team.
