Assistant Teaching Professor, Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Penn State (http://psych.la.psu.edu/) invites applications for the positions of Assistant Teaching Professor a non-tenure track faculty appointment to begin August 13, 2021.

The positions require teaching undergraduate research methods courses, possibly also introductory statistics, and courses in clinical, cognitive, developmental, industrial-organizational, or social psychology. Candidates should be available for both on-line and classroom teaching assignments.

Previous teaching experience and fit to the department's teaching needs are critical. These are full-time positions with a teaching load of three courses per semester during the academic year; summer teaching is negotiable. Ph.D. preferred and at least ABD status required at time of appointment. In addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.

The following clearances must be successfully completed for this position:

- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check

- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History

- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
