Northern Arizona University, a member of the Big Sky Conference, NCAA Division 1, is presently seeking a full-time Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Details include; supervise and administer the strength and conditioning program for student athletes of all sports.  Supervise the graduate assistants as assigned.  Work closely with the Athletic Training Program and the department medical staff in planning and implementing rehab programs for student athletes.  Schedule and provide supervision of the weight room and conditioning areas to provide the highest possible success for the student athletes. Maintain a safe and effective weight room with a focus on the health and welfare of the student athlete. Administer the program in compliance with all University and NCAA rules and fulfill all duties assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Minimum Qualifications 

  •  At least two years of experience training a broad and diverse population of collegiate athletes.
  •  Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field.
  •  A CSCS or SCCC Certification
  •  CPR and first aid Certified
  •  Demonstrate proficiency with all Olympic lifts and variations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Greater than 2 years’ experience as a collegiate Strength and Conditioning coach.
  • Masters in Exercise Science or related field preferred.
  • Experience with women’s soccer, dive, and football.
  • USAW Certification.
  • Nutritional Education.

Salary

Commensurate with experience.

**The starting salary will be determined by the qualifications of the selected applicant balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
