Visiting Assistant Professor of History & Pol Sci

The History and Political Science Department of Notre Dame of Maryland University invites applications for a full-time, one-year position of assistant professor of political science, to begin on August 15, 2021.

The department seeks candidates who have been broadly trained in American politics and history. The successful candidate will teach seven courses per academic year in face-to-face and online formats. Teaching responsibilities involve offering introductory and upper-level courses in social science methods, and American politics and history for departmental majors, general education students, Women's College students, and adult learners. The successful candidate will also help deliver experiential learning and service opportunities for our students.

Qualifications

Candidates must have at least two years of teaching experience and a Masters degree in political science, history or a related field. Candidates with experience in teaching online courses are strongly preferred.
