Job Description

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is now hiring an Assistant Director for Operations in the Department of Housing and Residence Life at the Daytona Beach campus. The Assistant Director provides support to daily housing operations within the department. This position also oversees various technology utilized in the Housing and Residence Life office. This position involves assessing Housing and Residence Life business processes and leveraging technology to meet the needs of the department and the students they support. The Assistant Director will streamline and improve processes while applying experience and judgement to ensure the most efficient use of resources. This role will be the primary support and technical resource for the housing management system, overseeing system configuration, problem determination and resolution. This person will serve as the primary IT liaison for the Housing and Residence Life office. Such responsibilities include, but are not limited to, occupancy management, customer support, assignment coordination, and financial analysis. The Assistant Director is responsible for working with the Director of Housing and Residence Life on department revenue and expense projections while also running monthly budget reports for auditing. This position directly supervises the Housing Office Coordinator.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in higher education or related field.
  • Previous housing/residence life experience at a minimum of three years full-time post-master's degree.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Housing Management Software (Adirondack preferred)
  • Experience creating and managing area/department budget
