Assistant/Associate Professor Public Administration (Bilingual Arabic/English)

Applications are invited from highly qualified individuals with excellent research, teaching, and training profiles for the posts of Assistant/Associate Professor of Public Administration. Candidates should have a long-term interest in the Middle East and be prepared to conduct research on specific topics related to public administration in the region. Successful applicants will provide academic leadership in delivering the graduate-level portfolio of Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government in public administration and related fields. The Assistant/Associate Professor of Public Administration will be expected to maintain an active research agenda on relevant topics in the UAE, GCC or the wider MENA region. Our language of instruction is English, however, in public administration, we offer two programs, one in Arabic and another in English. Hence the requirement of Arabic/English bilingual ability is a must for this particular post. Industry/government work or consulting experience, especially with government excellence models, is a plus. In addition, experiences with policy research as well as delivering executive education programs are desirable. Flexibility and teamwork skills are key success factors.

About the MBR School of Government (

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) was launched in 2005 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai as the first research and teaching institution focusing on governance and public policy in the Arab world. The School has federal licensure through the UAE Ministry of Education, and is part of the Dubai Government. The School is considered a unique model for academic institutions in that it focuses on the practical side of governance. The School also collaborates with government and private institutions both regionally and internationally.
