The Dean serves as the chief administrative and academic officer for the School of Pharmacy-Boston campus. The Dean will articulate and advance a shared vision for the School that promotes collaboration and a culture of innovation and service to the community, all of which are rooted in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion. The Dean is responsible for leadership of the School's student success efforts; accreditation; academic program planning; curriculum and instruction assessment; recruitment and evaluation of faculty and staff; professional development and research support; and budgeting and fiscal management. The next Dean will engage the faculty in developing a strategic plan and innovative programs that build and integrate multiple strengths within the School; actively collaborate with other schools within MCPHS; and partner with area universities, hospitals, health systems, clinics, and biomedical research organizations to ensure the continued advancement of the SOP-B programs.

The successful candidate will have a Pharm.D., Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant academic discipline and be eligible for a faculty appointment at the rank of Professor. Along with a demonstrated record of teaching, scholarship and service, the Dean must exhibit solid management and fiscal skills and the ability to build partnerships within the School of Pharmacy, across MCPHS University and throughout the Boston region. The Dean will have demonstrated experience with accreditation processes, innovative academic program development and a clear understanding of current and future regional, state and national trends in the pharmacy and healthcare field.
