Visiting Professor in CS and IT
Shepherd University (SU) is located in scenic, historic Shepherdstown, West Virginia, about 90 minutes driving distance from both Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, and within driving distance of the Appalachian Trail, the Northern Virginia tech corridor, and the Maryland I-270 tech corridor. The department of Computer Science, Mathematics and Engineering at SU is seeking applicants for a full-time two-year visiting professor with a possibility of converting to tenure track in Cyber Security and Information Technology. The successful applicant is expected to teach undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Cybersecurity, System Analysis and Design, Biometrics, and Windows Programming.
A Ph.D. (ABD welcome to apply) in computing is preferred but not required. Candidates must have the equivalent of a master's degree in Cyber Security, IT/CS, or a related area, and must demonstrate broad-based knowledge of information technology at all levels, either through a record of teaching excellence or through industrial experience.
