In order to best serve our new students and their families, Radford University has an opening for a Director of New Student and Family Programs (NSFP). The NSFP Director, reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, will partner closely with the leadership team in the Office of Student Success as well the Academic Success Center (ASC) to create a highly effective new student onboarding experience with the goal to maximize enrollment and retention success at Radford University. The NFSP Director will serve as the leader of Radford University office that delivers new student orientation, and coordinates the efforts of the University’s first year seminar (UNIV100).

Radford University is seeking interested candidates who have a proven ability to: •Develop, maintain, lead, and evaluate continuous improvement efforts of all NSFP programs designed to promote the effective recruitment and success of new freshmen and transfer students. •Supervise team members to ensure the maintenance of caseloads for students from the Academic Success Center who participate in representing the program. •Individually serve as a primary academic advisor for an assigned caseload of students, including implementing a case-management approach to proactive interventions to support student success •Serve as the subject matter expert related to NSFP programs for events that are hosted on or off campus. •Provide oversight of the training of student leaders and faculty who deliver orientation, transition, and retention programs offered under the auspices of NSFP.

Advanced degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or a related field, with at least 5 years’ experience.
