Position Highlights: The John and Doris Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice in the Personal and Family Financial Planning program (PFFP), beginning in August of 2021. The position will involve 90% teaching and 10% service (approximately three classes per academic semester). This is a 9-month, full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment (non-tenure-eligible); additional summer teaching opportunities may be available. The position will involve 90% teaching and 10% service (approximately three classes per academic semester). This position is central to the teaching mission of the Norton School and involves teaching courses during fall and spring semesters as well as expectations of professional development and service. The initial contract is for one year, with 1 to 3-year contracts available thereafter based on performance.

 

The successful candidate must be committed to the pursuit of teaching excellence with a strong desire to enhance the existing PFFP degree program and to assist and nurture new program initiatives including a fully online degree program, online certificate and minor program, and distance learning. The PFFP program continues to grow, with enrollment expected to increase significantly once the online and distance education initiatives are fully operational.
