The mission of the Office of Alumni Relations & College Events is to provide opportunities through events, services, technology, and volunteer experiences that allow current and future graduates to deepen their relationship with Skidmore College and the global Skidmore network. The office seeks to uphold Skidmore’s founding principles by acting as an educational, professional, and cultural resource first and foremost for alumni, but also for students, parents, friends, and the Skidmore Community at large. We are committed to being responsible stewards of Skidmore’s resources while striving for excellence and creativity in all of our outreach. We are responsible for many of the big campus celebrations including Reunion, Commencement and Celebration Weekend. Our Summer Office Assistant will be responsible for assisting with many different projects throughout the summer including data entry, answering phones, preparing mailings, filing, and event preparation. Special projects may be assigned as needed.

General office skills, ability to answer the phone and direct callers based on need, typing skills, and computer skills necessary. Must be a mature and responsible individual who is efficient, is able to work independently, pays attention to detail and is able to handle confidential matters. Strong candidates will possess a desire to work as part of a team. Applicants must have valid U.S. Driver's license (or appropriate international equivalent) in good standing.

Pay Rate: $12.50 per hour
