General Manager of Concessions
The General Manager of Concessions is responsible for the planning, organizing, and direction of events at venues on campus during athletics and special events on the Oxford campus.
Plans and supervises the day-to-day activities of concession operations in such a manner that it ensures an effective, efficient and economical operation in terms of labor, food, supplies utilities, and other costs.
Operate concessions at Miami events including athletics, concerts, and other events.
Maintain appropriate inventory ordering food and supplies. Oversees the proper care and handling of food, equipment, facilities, and supplies to provide safe and sanitary concession operations.
Communicates effectively with unit staff, fellow members of the food service management team, others within the university community, and the general public.
Prepares and maintains records, reports, and evaluations of the concession operation.
Evaluates work performance of staff on a continual basis. Recommends discipline as needed. Develops staff in order to increase the effectiveness of each member.
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience; OR
Associate's degree and 4 years of related experience; OR
Six or more years of related experience
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Management, Culinary Arts, Dietetics, or a related field.
