The Department of Marketing in the W. P. Carey School of Business at ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY invites applications for a Professor of Practice (50% time, benefits eligible), non-tenure track position beginning August 2021. 

Essential Functions: Contribute to the school’s mission in the areas of teaching and service. Participate in teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses and curriculum development related to sports business. Engage in service activities focused primarily on advancing our sports business program, which may include helping to develop, execute, and lead sports business-related partnerships, fundraising efforts, events and activities; supervising sports business-related student organizations, directing sports business-focused Honors theses, and participating on department, W. P. Carey School of Business, and/or University committees.

Required Qualifications:

1) A bachelor’s degree in business administration, sports business (or a related field); 2)  Five years of experience leading sports business functions for an organization with a particular emphasis on marketing, revenue generation, events, branding, digital, sustainability and/or analytics

Desired Qualifications:

1) Ten years of experience working in sports business or a related field; 2) Excellence in teaching sports business principles and topics at the undergraduate level with an ability to make advanced concepts accessible to students; 3) Experience with relationship building, fundraising and developing partnerships with key stakeholders; 4) Familiarity with pedagogical theories for learning; 5) Expertise with creation, distribution and design of digital content (recording videos, audio/video techniques, visual communication, etc.); 6) Evidence of ability to innovate and work collaboratively to achieve goals; 7) Graduate or terminal degree in business administration, sports business (or a related field)
