Opportunity Kent State University at Tuscarawas is seeking candidates for a Non-Tenure Track position in the field of Animation Game Design. The position offers opportunities for collaborative, interdisciplinary projects in digital media, audio, special effects, virtual reality and story development in emerging media. Courses taught may include introductory courses in animation and game creation, with advanced courses specific to area of specialty. The successful candidate may also teach a senior capstone course or multi-disciplinary project, and/or other areas of programmatic need. The AGD program has dedicated computer and virtual reality (VR) labs at the Kent, Stark and Tuscarawas campuses, including a VR/finishing studio, and a newly renovated motion-capture lab. The successful candidate will be required to teach in-person classes at each of these campuses depending upon need. The teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester.

Minimum Qualifications: A Masters of Technology, Arts, or Fine Arts with an emphasis in Animation, Technical Modeling, or Game Design. Three years of relevant professional and/or teaching experience; proficiency in Adobe CC, Substance Painter, Zbrush, Maya, Unity, Unreal; proficiency in 2d and 3d with Autocad, Inventor and/or other solid modeling applications.
