The Nursing faculty member is responsible for teaching Pediatric Nursing and may be required to teach one of the following based on expertise: Foundations of Nursing, Medical/Surgical Nursing, Contemporary Issues in Nursing, Leadership in Nursing, and/or Maternal/Infant Nursing. In addition, faculty members are expected to stay current in their disciplines and in teaching methodologies; and implement changes in instruction based on assessment results; maintain reasonable, distributed office hours; develop and revise curriculum; mentor adjunct faculty; and advise students as appropriate.
Faculty members provide leadership for the development, growth, and support of the College and the assigned area; and undertake professional community service. Other duties include supporting the mission, vision and values of the College and policies of the Board of Trustees; serving on various College committees, task forces and other groups; and participating in various official College ceremonies and meetings.
This is a full-time, 10-month position, which begins August 2021.
A master's degree in nursing and two years of nursing clinical experience are required. Candidates must be licensed nurses in Maryland or have the ability to be licensed. Clinical expertise in pediatric nursing required.
