MVCC is seeking to fill a full-time faculty position in the School of Health Sciences to teach in an Accreditation Commission for Education Nursing (ACEN)-accredited, Associate’s degree nursing program.

The College is looking for exceptional colleagues who have the following: (1) an understanding of the college mission and teaching experience in a comprehensive community college; (2) a focus on student success in a learner-centered environment; and (3) a willingness to use technology to support learning in the academic setting, including on-line instruction and assessment of student learning outcomes.

Teaching responsibilities includes lecture and clinical assignments offered during the day, evening or weekend on the Utica campus with travel to off-campus clinical sites. Additionally, the position includes student advisement and committee responsibilities as well as curriculum development and program assessment activities. Participation in service-based learning and interest in international initiatives are appreciated.

Qualifications:


Current RN licensure in New York State, a Master's degree in Nursing at the time of appointment, and a minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience, required. A Master's degree in Nursing Education and clinical experience in Medical Surgical, preferred.

Candidates must possess good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work in a multicultural environment, flexibility in schedule and a willingness to work and contribute collaboratively.
