Position Summary:

The mission of the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (ELPA) is to create, evaluate, exchange, and apply knowledge about leadership, learning, and organizational performance to prepare scholars and scholar-practitioners who cultivate equity and educational opportunity in a diverse and changing world. Under the general supervision and direction of the department administrator, the department associate is responsible for curricular and administrative support. This role is critical in developing the timetable schedule of course offerings with guidance from the department chair and program leads, entering and reviewing data in the Student Information System, generating reports, administering course evaluations, maintaining files and policies, and supporting adjunct lecturers. This role also provides various levels of administrative support to the department administrator, chair, faculty, and students, manages department meetings and reservations, and assists with delegating and monitoring student employee projects. Additional responsibilities include donor correspondence, social media management, and technology support.

Position Duties:

Curricular duties may include: Develop timetable; data entry; generate reports; manage course evaluations; maintain files; adjunct lecturer appointment processing, onboarding, and course support.

Administrative duties may include: Department admin, chair, faculty, and student support; department meetings; room reservations; assist with delegating and monitoring student employee projects; donor reports and communications; social media; technology support.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of administrative experience or demonstrated ability in organization, verbal and written communication skills, and technology proficiency. We are seeking a detail-oriented candidate with the ability to work independently and manage multiple complex activities and systems with deadlines and frequent interruptions. The position requires excellent customer service and regular interaction with faculty and staff, graduate students, and campus administration. A background or interest in educational leadership and policy analysis is a plus.
