Assistant or Associate Professor of Instructional Design and Development
THE DEPARTMENT OF COUNSELING AND INSTRUCTIONAL SCIENCES at the University of South Alabama invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track academic appointment (9-month) in Instructional Design and Development at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank starting August 15, 2021. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in instructional design and development (IDD), or a closely related discipline; experience in teaching IDD, record of research in an area of instructional design, and potential to obtain external funding. Responsibilities include teaching IDD graduate courses online and on campus, as well as service courses in educational psychology, educational technology, and/or educational research; supervising dissertations and advising students in instructional design programs; and engaging in scholarly research and publication; pursuing external funding; and engaging in professional and community service.
