Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, DrPH Program (Log# 22-054)


The School of Public Health is seeking applicants for a teaching and service-oriented, non-tenure track faculty position for its recently launched DrPH program. Applicants must have a te1minal degree (DrPH, PhD, or MD) in public health or a related discipline as well as a minimum of five  years of applied public health experience. Applicants with experience in public health practice, program and/or policy development and leadership and management in settings such as local, state, and federal public health agencies and organizations as well as international public health agencies and organizations are encouraged to apply. Candidates should possess a sufficiently broad experience and skill set to teach a diverse set of doctoral-level public health courses that may include public health leadership, management and finance, ethics, program planning and evaluation, and health policy.


The Doctor of Public Health program was launched at GSU in fall 2018 and is designed to provide the knowledge, skills, and experiences to prepare the next generation of public health leaders and chief health strategists to advance public health and health equity.


The DrPH program is a generalist program grounded in the School of Public Health's urban-global focus together with an overarching commitment to health equity, diversity, and inclusion. As such, the School seeks talented, enthusiastic, and interdisciplinary public health educators with a desire to join a new and rapidly growing academic program.


The ideal candidate will also have experience supervising and educating students in a university setting or public health practice. Experience with online teaching and innovative approaches, such as flipped, blended, or hybrid classrooms is preferred.
