Lecturer in Accounting
The University of North Carolina Asheville’s Department of Management and Accountancy invites applications for a lecturer, professor of practice, or adjunct faculty position in accounting to begin August 2021. Applicants must have a Master's degree; preference will be given to applicants with CPA certification. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in introductory accounting, intermediate accounting, accounting systems and control, and auditing.
Title, rank, and salary will be determined according to degree, certification(s), and/or level of teaching and/or industry experience. Responsibilities for the lecturer position include teaching 12-credit hours a semester, maintaining appropriate faculty qualifications in scholarly engagement commensurate with the expectations of a liberal arts university degree program that is accredited by AACSB, and engaging in service to the institution, the community, and the profession. Professors of practice or adjunct faculty would carry a part-time teaching load and would not have scholarly or service responsibilities.
