Clinical Placement Coordinator/Instructor
The Center for Communication Disorders in the College of Education and Human Services is seeking a full-time Clinical Placement Coordinator/Instructor for the Communication/Speech-Language Pathology Program. This position is a 10- month, non-tenure track position, working August through May.
Summary of Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include: responsibilities for the
placement, oversight, and coordination of the Center for Speech and
Hearing at Murray State University during the Fall, Spring, and
Summer academic semesters; serve as a faculty member within the
department eligible to teach clinical and other departmental
courses as needed; engage in professional development and
university service activities at the departmental, college, and
university levels.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Candidates must have a Master's in Communication
Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited
university.
Minimum Experience and Skill
Requirements:
Candidates must possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence in
Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), must be eligible for Kentucky
State Licensure, have a minimum of 3 years of experience working as
a certified SLP, and demonstrate interest and willingness to teach
undergraduate courses in communication disorders as needed.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Qualifications:
Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and experience
in medical, healthcare facilities, and P-12 schools.
Candidates should provide evidence of expertise in at least one of
the following areas: fluency disorders, voice disorders, language
disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, swallowing
and feeding, and neurogenic communication disorders.
