The Department of Psychology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga College of Arts & Sciences invites applications for two Lecturers beginning August 1st, 2021. These positions are nine-month, renewable appointment with the potential for multi-year contracts based on years of service and performance.

Our faculty demonstrate their commitment to diversity by working with diverse students and colleagues and applying a variety of teaching methods. The Department of Psychology at UTC (www.utc.edu/psychology), one of the largest majors in the College of Arts & Sciences, has 16 full-time faculty members with over 750 undergraduate majors and 50 graduate students in the Psychological Sciences and I-O Psychology MS Programs.

Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for the positions should have a record as an outstanding teacher and hold at least an MA or MS in Psychology with the ability to cover a variety of undergraduate courses, including Introductory Psychology, Statistics, and Research Methods. The individual in this position would also focus on Abnormal Psychology, Contemporary Psychotherapies, Positive Psychology, and Tests & Measurements.

Candidates should also be willing to engage in a variety of instructional modalities, including online instruction. They should be willing to engage in assisting the UTC campus in its ability to reach additional goals as specified in UTC’s Strategic Plan, including a demonstrable commitment to diversity and inclusion.
