Visiting Artist-in-Residence in Piano. The Skidmore College Music Department invites applications for a two-year (terminal) appointment in Piano. The successful applicant's primary responsibilities will include private piano instruction, chamber music coaching, and oversight of the piano program including the maintenance and purchasing of pianos. Additional responsibilities include: performing solo and chamber recitals, serving as a scholarship competition judge, coaching student recitals and juries, and arranging guest artist recitals and masterclasses. Additional teaching strengths in adjacent Music Studies fields will also be welcome.

We seek an engaging and energetic teacher with: the ability to contribute to our curriculum in imaginative ways, a commitment to liberal-arts education and to Skidmore's tradition of "hand and mind," experiences and approaches that will support and contribute to the growing diversity of our academic community.

DMA or PhD preferred; ABD considered. Individuals from underrepresented groups, and/or with experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds, are especially encouraged to apply.
