The Department of Economics and Finance in the Langdale College of Business Administration invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position beginning August 1, 2021.  The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching at the undergraduate level and providing service to the College, University, profession, and regional business community. Primary teaching areas are data analytics, macroeconomics, microeconomics, and international economics. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree at the time of appointment in economics, finance, or data analytics from an AACSB-accredited institution of higher education or member institution or other internationally accredited institution; a terminal degree is not required but will be accepted in lieu of a master’s degree;
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning;
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Scholarly activity appropriate to the applicant’s career stage and degree level;
  • A record of effective teaching appropriate to the applicant’s career stage;
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting;
  • A record of mentoring students of diverse backgrounds.
