Job Summary
The Russian Program at the University of Colorado is accepting applications for a one-year replacement Instructor in Russian Language. This is a one-academic-year, full-time (100%), non-tenure track position, without possibility of renewal. The position begins Fall 2021.

The Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures houses programs in German (BA, MA, PhD), Russian (BA, MA), and Nordic Studies (minor). For more information about our department, please visit our web site .
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Teaching responsibilities include first, second, fourth, and fifth levels of Russian language. Teaching load is three courses per semester. The position entails service components related to teaching assistant supervision and observation, assessment of learning outcomes, and participation in extra-curricular activities of the program.

The salary range for this position is $53,000 to $55,000.

What We Require
Native or near-native proficiency in Russian and English; MA degree or equivalent in Russian Studies, Russian Linguistics, or a closely related field; College-level language teaching experience; Familiarity with current language pedagogy and the ACTFL guidelines.

Preferred qualifications: PhD or equivalent in Russian Studies, Russian Linguistics, or a closely related field.
