Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job

The German Program at Sam Houston State University is seeking applications for a full-time lecturer (one-year term) to teach German Language and Culture courses at the introductory and intermediate levels. The lecturer will teach four courses per semester during the academic year 2021-2022. This is a one-year term only. Course requirements include teaching on-campus classes at the main campus in Huntsville, Texas.

Educational Requirements for the Position

Must have an M.A. in German (minimum 18 graduate hours in German).

Experience Required for the Position

Teaching experience required. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at a regional comprehensive institution and documented evidence of excellence in teaching.
