Medical Director Opportunity

The WVU Cancer Institute is actively recruiting candidates for Medical Director. You will join our rapidly expanding division, committed to providing the best in cancer care to the people in the state of West Virginia and surrounding regions. The position will be to join the WVU Cancer Institute as full faculty and to lead the division’s efforts at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV.

While this position will be based at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, it is supported by WVU’s 700-bed Academic Medical Center. This position offers outstanding opportunity for program growth and development.

Camden Clark Medical Center serves the Mid-Ohio Valley and surrounding region through a 302-bed, not-for-profit, acute care facility. Nestled within a community of about 90,000 residents, the city of Parkersburg is centrally located in the Mid-Ohio Valley along the Ohio River. Parkersburg provides low crime rates, low commuting times, combined with lower-than-average cost of living, excellent education systems, and an abundance of close-proximity outdoor activities. Successful candidates must have a MD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship and be board certified in hematology and/or oncology at the time of appointment. A minimum of five years of experience practicing hematology/oncology is required for this position. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
