Are you seeking a dynamic academic position that is focused teaching future health care leaders the dynamics of interdisciplinary research and education? If you are, take a look at a new opportunity in the College of Health Professions PhD in Health Related Sciences program. We are seeking an adjunct instructor for our ALHP 781 Doctoral Seminar course. In this course, students explore their dissertation research focus areas through the lens of interdisciplinary research and education. This position is aligned with the missions of the college and university focusing on providing optimal student experiences and learning opportunities as we support the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Requirements: PhD or terminal degree in health sciences or related field, ability to complement and expand existing program interdisciplinary expertise, and providing formative feedback to students as they explore their research interests through an interdisciplinary lens. Primary responsibility will be teaching the ALHP 781 course. The instructor will also participate in program faculty meetings (one per semester). Note, the PhD program is a hybrid program with the Fall semester running from the middle of June through the first part of January. A course consists of 4-8 hours of in-person instruction during the June session, five online sessions (each lasting two weeks and rotated with the other courses) and 4-8 hours of in person instruction the first week of January.

The course is a great opportunity to provide creative and innovative instruction in a hybrid format with a students from across the health professions.

Required Qualifications

• PhD or terminal degree in Health Sciences or related field
• Experience instructing in a hybrid format
• Experience teaching at the graduate level
• Experience instructing on interdisciplinary research and education

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CANVAS
