The New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech) seeks an instructor of engineering science courses to begin in August of 2021.  Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and at least a master’s degree with preference being given to those holding a doctorate.  Applicants should submit a CV, statement of teaching philosophy and interests, and list of 3 references as one pdf.  The application should be sent to Ms. Rosa Jaramillo (  Questions can be sent to the search committee at  Review of applications will begin May 1, 2021 and continue until the position is filled. 

The engineering science program includes a range of courses from introduction to engineering, computer programming, circuits, statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, heat & mass transfer, thermodynamics, and engineering economics.  Courses are offered to 7 of the ABET accredited engineering programs at New Mexico Tech.  The instructor will be expected to teach as well as contribute to student recruitment and outreach as well as advising of non-declared majors.  New Mexico Tech is a science and engineering university composed of 2000 undergraduate and graduate students located in Socorro, New Mexico.
