College/Department Overview:
The College of Education and Professional Studies currently has 100 full-time and over 100 part-time faculty organized in seven departments. The college offers 23 undergraduate majors and 28 graduate majors. All teacher education programs are CAEP accredited. Other programs are recognized at the state and national levels with accreditations by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the American Dietetic Association (ADA), the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR), and the Oklahoma Educational Quality and Accountability Commission (OEQA). UCO's College of Education and Professional Studies has an enrollment of nearly 4,800 students, about one-fourth of whom are graduate students. Position Overview:
Lecturer provides a quality learning experience for students. Lecturer faculty performs instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college. The relationship of the Lecturer faculty member to the student is one of teacher and facilitator of learning.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions
Duties may include teaching online and/or hybrid formats primarily in the areas of undergraduate Statistics with potential for teaching General Psychology and other introductory specialization courses.

Qualifications

Experience Required:

An earned Master's degree awarded by a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution in the field specified in the position announcement (exceptions require Academic Affairs approval). Possesses excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Experience Preferred:
Higher-Education teaching experience with in person, online and hybrid formats.

Reports to the Chair of the Department and the Dean of the College.
