Position Summary:

Collects vital signs, patient history, and specimens; and performs basic laboratory tests and administers injections and medications under physician and/or supervising clinician direction to ensure the proper care of patients. Prepares examination rooms and equipment and performs administrative duties. Works collaboratively with other medical staff.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Currently certified in Basic CPR.

One year experience in a medical clinic preferred
Ability to perform technical patient care services where identifiable results are obtained and instructions are well defined.

License or Certificate:

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and certified or eligible for certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants is required.
