Summer Writing Center Tutor/Peer Mentor

Responsibilities include acting as virtual writing tutor and academic mentor for students enrolled in summer term courses and programs. The tutor works remotely with a diversity of student learners in the Skidmore College Writing Center on a virtual drop-in and appointment basis. The tutor assists student writers at any stage in the writing process, from gathering ideas to revising to explaining grammatical issues. The tutor will also support the development of students’ study skills, time management, problem-solving, assignment comprehension and overall adjustment to college-level academics. This is an online position for Summer 2021. Candidates must be available to work evenings throughout Summer Session 2. Hourly rate is $14.25 per hour.
