Assistant Professor of Health and Human Performance (tenure track)

Duties of the position include: teaching courses in HHP (4/4 load); advising HHP students; contributing to the programmatic oversight of the HHP programs including program, internship and career development; actively serving the college and surrounding community and conducting scholarly work related to the field of HHP within the framework of the Boyer model of scholarship. Opportunity to teach in an online Master’s in coaching program.

Minimum qualifications include:

1. Ph.D. in related field
2. Experience and demonstrated success in teaching at the undergraduate level.
3. Commitment to mentoring and advising undergraduate students
4. Experience working in the HHP field
5. Ability to teach a variety of courses and content areas such as exercise assessment and testing, motor learning, activity exercise classes, biomechanics, exercise physiology, sports nutrition, organization and administration in sport, athletic injuries, athletic/health coaching, and/or health and wellness.

Preferred qualifications:

1. Experience teaching online graduate courses.
2. CPR, Personal Training, Group Fitness, CSCS or similar certifications preferred.
