Assistant Professor of Information Technology

UC Clermont invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Information Technology faculty member beginning August 15, 2021. UC Clermont is an open admissions regional campus thirty miles east of the University of Cincinnati in Batavia, Ohio with an enrollment of approximately 3,500 students. The college offers a variety of certificates, transfer programs, two-year technical degrees, and a baccalaureate degree.

Tenure-track faculty responsibilities include teaching 12-credit hours for two semesters and availability to teach Online and face-to-face classes, unless otherwise indicated; ongoing scholarship/research; and service to the department, college, university, and community. All candidates must demonstrate/provide evidence of effective teaching and professional development. All candidates must have appropriate degrees and certifications awarded by time of appointment.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field; 3 years college level teaching experience required including 3 years experience teaching at a two-year college; 3 years Online teaching experience; 3 years related practical experience; the ability to teach across the spectrum of technology courses including programming, operating systems, networking, web development, information security, and databases is essential; should be willing to participate in student advising/student affairs, IT program management; Tenure-track faculty are expected to participate actively on college committees, in professional/ scholarly activities and community service.

Additional Qualifications Considered: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Systems with at least 5 years teaching at the College level which includes at least 5 years teaching at a two-year college, 5 years online teaching experience, and 3 years related practical experience.
