Stockroom Supervisor & Chemical Hygiene Officer
Denison University is an academically rigorous liberal arts college

Denison is accepting applications for a Stockroom Supervisor &
Chemical Hygiene Officer who will maintain the current inventory of
chemicals, supplies, and equipment in the chemistry building.
Prepare and distribute chemicals and equipment for laboratory,
lecture, and research use. Supervise student assistants whose work
contributes to the above. Actively help promote a culture of safety
in Ebaugh laboratories. As Chemical Hygiene Officer, assist
the officers of Denison University in maintaining compliance with
the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Laboratory
Standard Rules and Regulations.
Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or
closely related field plus two years relevant experience. General
familiarity with OSHA regulations governing hazardous chemicals.
Must be comfortable in a highly fluid work environment; ability to
manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously; highly
organized. Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
Ability to supervise undergraduate student assistants and be
committed to a safe and respectful work environment. Effective
oral, written and electronic communication skills and strong
computer skills in PC based software system utilizing Windows,
Microsoft Office, and Google Apps.
