JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The Rogers State University School of Professional Studies, Department of Technology and Justice Studies, invites applicants for the OD Mayor Endowed Chair. The position will be accompanied with the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Technology.

Candidates are expected to teach core and elective classes at the RSU Pryor Campus and develop and foster community and industry relationships with the city of Pryor and the companies located in the Industrial Park.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES:

Candidates must provide evidence of effective classroom teaching, scholarship/research, and institutional and professional contributions which are commensurate with rank.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred candidates will have demonstrated excellence in microcomputer applications, Java programming, website design, multimedia development and computer networking.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Prolonged sitting or standing may be required to fulfill the job duties.

REQUIRED DEGREE:

Master’s degree is required, a doctorate preferred, in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or a closely related field.
