The Department of Teaching and Learning of Peabody College invites applications for an associate/full professor faculty position in its Learning Sciences program. We seek a scholar whose research focuses on innovative curricula, pedagogy, learning contexts, or technologies in the disciplines of Science, Engineering or Computing. The position focuses on how learning environments and/or pedagogical practices can frame, change, or interrupt existing learning systems to create equitable and productive learning opportunities. We invite research on learning that takes place in the context of schools or spans school, home, and community settings in these disciplines.
The successful candidate will contribute to our undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. These include: Learning, Teaching and Diversity (doctoral), Learning and Diversity in Urban Settings (M.Ed.), Learning and Design (M.Ed.), and our teacher credentialing programs. Successful applicants must have a strong record of publication and external research funding. The department and college seek a candidate who can contribute to a diverse faculty and student community.
