The Executive Director of Executive Education is envisioned to be a combination of sales, project management, and program development. The role and office will serve the College and the University as a whole. The College will benefit from revenues generated from custom programs for corporate clients and from all current and future noncredit courses/certificate programs. The Office of Executive Education will also be positioned to offer administrative support to noncredit programs in the various schools/colleges within the University in order to aid in their growth. It is expected that the Director maintains contacts across the University system, articulates the value proposition of the University, works with all parties to develop partnerships that support the mission of each partner, identifies and matches a company’s or professional’s needs with university strengths, and listens to all stakeholders’ helping to identify common goals and design projects and products that create mutually beneficial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree. Master’s strongly preferred.

• Seven (7) plus years in corporate learning, career counseling, workforce development, professional development, or similar.

• Proven ability in public speaking.

• Ability and willingness to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed.

• Experience using Microsoft Office products, CRM software and relational databases.

• Experience in consultative selling and adult learning theory and practices highly desirable.

• A valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage new customer relationships and expand existing relationships; move new prospects through the sales cycle.

• Develop and nurture strong working relationships with faculty, staff, and external
parties to identify and leverage instructional talent and opportunities for collaboration.

• Set strategic direction and lead all partnership initiatives for the Office of Executive Education at University College.

• Oversee and supervise staff. Recruit, hire, train, direct daily activities. Develop team for highest levels of performance and customer service. Manage the work of staff members and provide appropriate feedback and performance reviews.

• Oversee all office operations and develop appropriate processes and procedures to ensure efficient delivery of services.

• Responsible for all client billing and managing department budget.

• Manage all aspects of program development and delivery to ensure highest levels of client satisfaction, including proposal development and negotiation, program design and delivery, and client follow up.
