Job Summary

The Office of Alumni Affairs at Auburn University is seeking candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant Support Specialist I in the Communications and Marketing Department. This position will support the Communications and Marketing Department with significant emphasis on complex administrative responsibilities.

Essential Functions

Essential functions include but are not limited to: providing excellent customer service to Auburn Alumni Association members and partners; assisting in scheduling meetings; processing and tracking membership data in alumni database; arranging travel for department members; managing campus distribution of Auburn Magazine; ordering promo items; monitoring the association email; setting appointments and managing calendars of department employees; calculating, posting, verifying and tracking invoices, receipts, and other financial documents for multiple budgets; processing vendor payments, documenting minutes in quarterly board committee meetings; ensuring professional written and oral correspondence to vendors and members; assisting in the planning and execution of department events; and performing other support duties of similar difficulty.
