Title: Coordinator of K-12 Partnerships

Position Summary: The primary objective of this position is to develop positive working relationships with all high schools in the Volunteer State Community College service area. Promote and maintain a strong dual enrollment and dual credit program, coordinating the course scheduling process as well as the delivery of the support services relative to those programs. The development of the dual enrollment and dual credit programs will be consistent with institutional goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitate the process of course requests and confirmations by working with the Division of Academic Affairs and the participating K-12 partners in the assigned area(s) of the service area. Develop marketing strategies for dual enrollment and dual credit programs and offerings. Maintain handbooks for students, parents and community members. Assist with maintaining the faculty handbook used for dual enrollment and dual credit. Develop and deliver a dual enrollment orientation program for faculty, students, parents and school counselors. Coordinate a dual enrollment/dual credit recruitment program in conjunction with the Office of Admissions. Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with school counselors in the partnering high schools. Coordinate off-campus application and registration services relative to all K-12 partnerships in the assigned portions of the service area. Working with the Manager of K-12 Partnerships, Public Relations, and the Coordinator of K-12 Partnerships, manage the K-12 Partnership, Dual Enrollment and Dual Credit webpages. Assist the Manager of K-12 Partnerships with ensuring the College is in good standing with SACSCOC, THEC, TBR, any other accrediting agency, and federal/state standards and policies related to dual enrollment and dual credit offerings/program. Working with other campus departments and positions, create and maintain a communication plan and master calendar for students, parents and school counselors relative to the dual enrollment and dual credit programs. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree. Three (3) years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in a related field. Evidence of positive working relationships within the K-12 arena.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Characteristics: Knowledge of K-12 and higher education practices and procedures. Strong communication skills. Demonstrated effective writing, speaking, and listening skills. Analytical ability, strong organizational skills, and detail oriented. Ability to plan and execute projects on a large scale. Working knowledge of Banner system. Self-motivating initiative, diplomacy, mature decision-making skills, flexibility in dealing with multiple tasks and diverse issues. Frequent travel to area high schools and Local Education Agencies in the Vol State service area.

Pay Rate: 40,200.00 - 50,250.00 annual salary depending on experience
