The School of Innovative Learning at Doane University invites applications for the Director of Pre-Health Advantage and Assistant Professor of Practice in Health Sciences. This position will be responsible for directing activities for the Center for Pre-Health Advantage. In this role, the director serves as the campus resource for students pursuing health‐related careers and for the faculty supporting those students. Including, but not limited to, the director will support Doane’s recruitment of students, aid students in their orientation to health fields, participate in advising and professional school application preparation, and support retention efforts of students interested in health‐related careers. The director will teach coursework benefiting students utilizing the Center for Pre‐Health Programs. 

Candidates should have a graduate degree and a minimum of three years experience in higher education as a faculty or advisor in a health related field. Experience with pre-health student advising and development of co-curricular program development and assessment is desired. 

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, flexible and high energy with a passion for engaging with undergraduate students and program development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations and possess strong interpersonal skills to initiate and establish relationships within the university and with external stakeholders. 

Doane University includes campuses in Crete, Lincoln, and Omaha, Nebraska as well as online.  This position is based on the Crete campus.
