This position is a part-time, term, at the rank of Term Assistant Professor of Surgical Technology in the School of Allied Health (SAH), College of Health (COH), University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). The appointment period is nine months, from August to May, each academic year.
This position is responsible for: (1) teaching, (2) directing student learning and assessing student progress in achieving the requirements of the program in the appropriate learning domains, and (3) course revision, academic assessment, curriculum improvement, text evaluation, academic advising, program development and University committee participation.
The SAH seeks an individual who will work in a collaborative/interdisciplinary teaching environment in the delivery of Allied Health courses within the UAA Surgical Technology program. The faculty member appointed to this position will provide didactic education to Allied Health students with an emphasis on Surgical Technology related courses. The ideal candidate will possess the following credentials: CST. This position supports the University of Alaska bipartite mission of performing teaching and service.
