Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant provides general administrative support, while exercising discretion, in the Department of Chemistry. Composed of approximately 550 faculty, staff, postdocs, and graduate students, the department has a long tradition of continued excellence in academics, research, and public engagement.

The Administrative Assistant is one of six positions on an administrative team that supports the faculty, students, events, and activities of the Department of Chemistry. In addition to serving as a primary point of contact and providing general administrative support for faculty and students, this position provides complex support for department events and activities, including the planning and coordinating of events and the processing of related financial transactions.
