Position Summary:

This position is part of a team of three professionals reporting to the supervisor of client services in the communicable disease division (CDD). This position is responsible for test build, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities of the Epic Beaker laboratory information management system (LIMS).

Principal job functions and duties are outlined below. Hours will be primarily M-F 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM; occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree (BS) in medical laboratory science, information technology, or equivalent allied health profession, required

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- 1-3 years of relevant work experience required in the following areas, including but not limited to:
- Applications, system software and hardware support (including test build, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting)
- Interfacing (HL7), including: instruments, and electronic test orders and results (ETOR)
- Customer service
- MLS(ASCP), MLT(ASCP), SM(ASCP) certification preferred, but not required
- Previous experience in a public health or clinical laboratory preferred
- Previous Epic certification desired, but not required. The candidate in this position is required to complete Epic Beaker certification within two months of hire as a condition of employment.
- CAHIMS or CPHIMS certification preferred, but not required

Salary:

Minimum $52,318 ANNUAL (12 months)
